JANSEN & DE VRIES 4-TET
Hipshakin' Blues!

Ladies and gents, hold onto your hats, 'cause the Jansen & de Vries 4-tet is here to shake the ground beneath your feet with that real-deal hipshakin’ sound from the streets of Chicago and Memphis! These boys are bringin' back the soul-stirrin', toe-tappin’ rhythms of the 1940s and '50s — the kind of music that gets right into your bones and makes you move.

On the harmonica, we got Jansen, blowin' like the ghost of Little Walter himself. His riffs slice through the air with a fire that'll light up any room, channeling the deepest Chicago blues with that unmistakable harp magic. Every note he plays is soaked in the spirit of the blues, bendin’ and twistin’ like only a true bluesman can. Then there’s De Vries on guitar, a stone-cold killer on those strings, blending the grit of Lightnin' Hopkins with the wild, raw energy of Willie Johnson, Howlin’ Wolf’s own legendary guitarist. He’s got that dirty Memphis tone that’ll make you shout, stomp, and lose yourself in the rhythm.

With addition of Fabrizio Carrieri, one of the steadiest bassman in the business today, and hard shuffling Elmore van Dodewaard on drums, the Jansen & de Vries 4-tet brings you blues like it was meant to be — pure, loud, dripping with soul. Sometimes even lovely lady Sofie Marietta Eugene jumps on stage to sing a romantic R'nB duet with Jansen, or exhibit some authentic blues dancing..

The 4-tet's music could easily have been spun on the legendary King Biscuit Time show out of West Helena, Arkansas, where Southern greats were discovered and blues legends were born. In fact, they’ve been played there more than once! Their latest single Come Love, feat. vocals by both Jansen and Eugene, has already become a frequent favorite on that iconic program. If you’re ready for a night of hipshakin’ magic, this gang will deliver!
